Today was nothing special I expecially enjoyed the company of good frends and we played many a video games then at lasunga!

Not to offend
Warning today's D.D. deals with picture's of Travis' Life Drawing class.
These pictures are used for the purpose of art and learning structure and anatomy nothing else. View discretion is advised.
So today I had my stupid computer's class and life drawing class.
In between the two classes Gus, Andy and I ventured over to York Lanes and got our selves some Taco Bell! Yay college food! Then it was off to life drawing...
You know what? I think I've matured quite a bit over the past month. Drawing in the class has become less ick and more understanding and learning, which i think it's suppose to be.
There's some sort of poetry in the background that only artists can understand I think. We're not just drawing naked people, we are more or less capturing the human figure in a poetic sence that no camera could do justice to. I think that is a beautiful thing.
However I don't think many people can understand that, so if you write this off as pointless jibber-jabber I don't mind.
These are Gesture drawings. the whole idea behind them is to capture the rhythm and the movement behind the pose. I know that look super crappy but we only have one minute to draw them each. The whole idea is to get away from drawing the shape of something and starting drawing structure and what you actually see. As you can see I am still have quite a draw time grasping this concept because none of the above drawing have much rhythm. Before we start into any other drawings Our teacher expects us to turn out twenty five of these things, which only take about a half an hour. And I my opinion all my suck.
This is bulking and the whole idea here is to use convey the feeling of weight. The darker marks are suppose to move advance and the lighter areas are suppose to recede. This makes you really look at the shape of the areas you're drawing. In mine you can see that the head is Waaay to big and the picture isn't really that clear, much to my dismay. Although I am quite prond of this, even if this skill of mine is a work in progress.
This is mass conception. I'm actually not to sure what we're learning on this one, but if I have to guess I'd say that is't all about the 3D form and how it works with atonamy. Other then that we're drawing the models like they were made out of boxes. It's actually quite fun to do. Out of all of my pics I'll uploading I keep thinking that Trish is going to hate me, but this should be one she can look at and like! : D Box people are never naked!! Again not the best but not too shabby either.
Trish has been asking me what blind contour draw it and this is an example of it. It's all about drawing structer so you look at what you are drawing and let the object guide your hand, with exactly what you see not what you think you see. You also have to draw at a snail's pace so your lines look as tactial as possible. I kept peeking at my to make sure I was getting the proportions close. Along with three others he posted mine on the board as an example of a good blind contour drawing! Hurray!
After that my friend Mikki drove me home! She's so awesome! I think I'll have to buy her a Chrismas gift as a way of saying thanks!
Well that was my mature post, just thought you all might be intersted to see what I'm drawing.
I'm going to miss my cat soo much! She's curled up in my lap right now!

Elaps
So this weekend was spent on msn with Andy. We traded links of cool things were looking and talked about our homework... thank goodness I didn't actually have any do! We certainly did nothing.
I feel such a loss when I spend the better part of my day surfing you tube. Like my soul is missing...
The underline reason why I spent so long on msn and thus you tube, was because I was waiting for Shane, who played War Hammer online all weekend. I must say I am discouraged about what I posted about two posts down now.
But as I was playing with the sprites I got to playing with the sprites for RPG maker VX. Now I really wish I had the crack for that! I really do! I could really help make me and Jessica's game... actually happen!
Andy, Mike, and I explored York Lanes today. There was no sign of a CD/Movie/Gaming store in sight and that made us all sad.
My classes where English and Drawing. English we discussed grammar, and if I really wanted to get better at English I could study very many rules on how it is done... but since I don't I play Spore. Well I say that but I think I have a sligher better grasp of the English language. I just need my spell check on 24/7. Drawing was tough today, but when isn't it? I also think I'm starting to grasp how to draw things from real life and have them actually look like things in really life! It's amazing! Well kinda... I still need a lot of practice.
I will add in that Drawing structure of the human shape is much harder then drawing shape... and uglier too!
And now I will play Spore... because that's just how I roll!

Chillaxen
So today was pretty lazy, I didn't do much... well activity wise.
It's nice to have nothing to do all day...
Most of my day consisted of finishing up that document that me and Shane have of our game and working on a few more sprites. I was trying to come up with a few ideas by typing words into wikipedia. Sadly my efforts were fruitless. I got a lot farther with my imagination! Yay!
There were some children just outside my door talking about peeing... I certainly hope not to find a wet spot on my door! Since I in my jammies i did not yell at them.
I've been chatting with my friend Andy most of the day and now I will leave you with this; an exploration of Spore! it's great some make sure to watch all of it!

Zu then Zombies!
Today I had design class... it was boring!
I didn't like it at all... my teacher is weird!
But afterwards Gus and Andy came over to my house and we played Zu online! Hurray!
Then Gus had to leave so me and Andy played Gauntlet! He was the Archer and got his speed stat really high so he could run ahead of me and grab all the good items before my big heavy warrior could even take a step! it was sad! lol
Then Andy had to leave, I did our spaggetti dishes and Mary came home.
Later I talked to Shane who then showed me the next installment of Zombie!

okay well be don't actually have a name for it yet, but zombie is what we want to go with for the premiss. Shane had already programmed a little black dot to jump around, stick to walls and climb latters!
So to help him out I just spent the last five hours whipping this up!
Yes yes I know I ripped off Megaman HUGE but hey it only moves like megaman... he doesn't Look like megaman, thats the important thing.
personally I was a little disapointed in megaman's jump. So I experamented with that tuck-in back flip there. I'm hoping to create my own jump using this sprite.
He looks really plain because he doesn't have any armor equipped, once I make and shane also makes it, he will look much better... well better equiped to fight the forces he's going to be fighting!
Well anyways... bed me now.

Happy Orange
Today was a good day.
I had class today (well duh) and we were painting fruits. I was one of the only people who remembered to bring a fruit for us to paint. Actually I completely forgot I just happened to have an orange in my backpack for lunch. (*^ _ ^*)
Anyways this is how mine turned out:
I should mention that I really dislike using water colours... I think I really dislike using paints to capture things... but the again maybe I'm just inexperienced.
So after the class was finished we got our fruits back and I had two oranges so i ate one and wasn't really feeling up to eating the other one (I also took a pair and an apple and ate those. (It was a good lunch!)) so I drew on it instead.
Remember my good friend Debbie? She LOVED it! She took it from me for like the whole next class at kept telling me how cute it was. She even got a picture of me holding it. lol I guess she likes cute things... or oranges.
Ugh I also had to sit beside Eric today... he smells! Oh how he smells! Shower! Please! The whole class is begging you! It was terrible! We were painting yummy looking fruit I had had to sit beside the kid who smells like a fart bomb! *Cries*
My Friend Mikki, who I don't think I've mentioned on this blog before, gave me a ride home! : D
How super nice eh? No walking for me! Har har har! Mikki is awesome! She has such skill and style, and she's really good at following the teacher's instructions and doing all of he homework I don't know how she does it! But I really admire her for it! there are like four people (that I know of) who are my age in my class and Mikki is one of them. Gus is one of them too.
When I got home my internet wasn't working so I was a little bummed but Shane called me on the phone and was able to help me fix it. Thank you Shane! Thank you!!
I just had a sudden urge to go to church right now.... but I don't know of a single church in my area. And airn't all Baptist Churchs different anyways? Oh Pastor Rhealph (I donno if I spelt that right) how I miss juu!
I also took some photos of the random art I posted around my appartment for you guys to look at:
Such as this creepy little dude getting shot with an arrow. Dad commented when he saw it: "Pow! Cupid got em!"
This is actually a fingure paint I did on one of the first dats of me an Mary moving into this apartment.
And...
And this is me as a chicken.
Mary drew it and I coloured it.
She commented: "Travis you make a very scary chicken."
Personally I love it! It's hanging on my door!

10 minutes to post!!!
Okay so today was pretty good... I've done work ever since I got home.
Me and Shane are working on a video game together that is part Kirby and part Megaman. Long story short is we have like 55 'things' to come up with...
I will explain in a later blog, any who I'm stoked for that!
Painting sucks.... I did it all tonight
Writing English things sucks.. I did a lot of that too.
Turns out out potential room mate is allergic to cats!! Dammit! I was this close to having a cat! Dammit dammit dammit! This really sucks! Being up here in Toronto all by myself! Geez I'm so upset about this!!
Ugh! And there's nothing I can do short of living on the street!
Five minutes left! Oh no!
