Flawless Valentine's

So about a week and a day ago me and Emily spent a very long time sleeping in. It was our Valentine's gift to each other, lots of sleep! Yay!

But when we finally did manage to role out of bed we got our bums in gear and headed out to the streets of Montreal! Not sure what we'd find we wondered around and looked for lights, anything that screamed 'shop here!'

I can remember walking around a lot, and finding very interesting people...
There was this one guy dressed up a Spiderman costume with some dance music in the background. He had a bowl set up and was dancing badly while making 'swooosh' like noise and doing the famous web sling hand motion. Me and Emily hurried past him and burst out in an explosion of laughter once we were out of hear shot.

The crosswalks were also insanely busy! There were so many people! And not that many cars, it make me smile to think of it all. However we ran across another group of interesting people as we were crossing the street. There was a group of people, teenager/tweens, that were wearing V for vendetta masks, and ninja turtle masks... Why? I have no idea! But they were all hunched over like they had just robbed someone... but they was slowly sneaking around like they were about to pull a practical joke! Needless to say, the people in Montreal are weird.

A little more wondering around and we found a Montreal Eaton's Center. Just recently new to the Toronto Eaton's Center I wanted to explore this one quite a lot. (Actually on Sunday Emily got a little frustrated with how much time I wanted to spend in there! (-. -;) )

Any ways there were of few stores of interest. The best one I found was a store called 'Game Buzz' I think that sold video games, And not only Video games but video game paraphernalia! And not just any game paraphernalia, mostly Final Fantasy and Nintendo paraphernalia!! I was in heaven!! It was so wonderful. I didn't even know what to do with myself, I think I wondered back and forth through that store like seven times just looking at everything.
There were a lot of final fantasy action figures, and there were a lot of Mario shirt and jackets and there was even a Chocobo cushion!
I'm really regretting not buying a souvenir for each of my family members, because I totally could of! But I found the perfect thing for Shane! I don't wanna put what it is I found there incase I find it again but I would LOVE to get him that!

That wasn't the only store we visited, we looked around on each of the levels and also found a giadiva chocolate stand.
Emily patted my shoulder and told me that those where the best chocolates around! I was quite interested in tasting 'the best chocolates ever' so I we picked up a small box of eight chocolates. And wouldn't you know that those came to 22.00$? For eight chocolates! I remember thinking at the time 'These better be the best eight chocolates ever!' ha ha ha!

Anyways around 5:30 in the afternoon we noticed that the number of people in the shops were starting to dwindle... And by six o'clock all of the shops in the Eaton's center had completely closed down! What the heck was up with that? Frigging lazy french people!

I can't recall what we did for breakfast or lunch, but by supper time we were ready for supper. The night had come upon us faster then we would of hoped but when sunset disappeared we decided to attempt to find a nice Valentine's worthy restaurant. And did we ever! Quite a walk away from where we were there was a Nice little restaurant called... um... actually I can't recall what the place was called, but inside the waiters and waitresses where all dressed up in suits and bow ties and the light had red sheets covering them... It was the Ritziest place I have ever seen. My only regret about the place it that i wish I would have dressed up a little to visit it. I was in a sweater and jeans and I stuck out like a sore thumb, but they let us din there anyways. We got a table by the window and we looked at the menu... We I looked at the menu and couldn't read french so I had to put it down.

Emily told me what each of the things were and we decided on a special they had that was a couple's entree, dinner and dessert. It also came with one glass of wine. Why only one glass of wine instead of two for the couple's dinner, I'll have no idea, but that's what it was. So Emily took the Rose wine and I ordered a banana daiquiri, like the classy son of gun I am!We decided on our dishes too. Emily picked a roast duck for an Entree and I picked a shrimp dish. And for dinner we both picked some sort of Ravioli cheese pasta thing.

The duck Emily got was cut into thin slices of meat and laid over her plate wonderfully. The shrimp I got was a giant shrimp about the size of my fist stuck in the middle of what I could only assume was mashed potatoes. However it looked much more appealing then that. It was pretty good too.

The pasta dish we both got next was cute. The pasta pieces where in the shape of hearts, daaaaw! It tasted like a fine version of Kraft Dinner! Emily also taught me that the long green things sticking out of the dish were called chives and were in the same family as onions. I cut them up and ate them... I hope they weren't for garnish purposes only.

After that they took our plates and we just sat there for the longest time waiting for dessert. The lady eventually told us that there was a fondue set set up in the middle of the restaurant. It was quite yummy, but not my favorite thing ever.

Then we paid the bill which was over 100.00$ Whooo-hooo! We beat the crap outta valentine's day! Take that! I don't even feel bad about spending that much!

After that we wondered around a bit more and found a coffee shop in the upstairs of a book shop. we took another window seat and got ourselves some lattes, and dug into our giadiva chocolates. You know what, they where bloody good.

So the end of our Valentine night was spent over coffee, chocolates, and street scape view of Montreal. It left me with a word; flawless.

Last week from this week

A quick recap out of procrastination.

Last week I had gotten myself back from being at Emily's and I spent the entire week hanging out with people. I wasn't alone at all last week. Tuesday - Wednesday I was hanging out with Andy and going to extra life drawing classes then Thursday day I hung out with Mikki then Thursday night Emily came over for our weekend in Montreal! I was busy with classes and homework so I didn't let myself be excited. I did some home work. Made valentines day cards and witnessed as Emily found an exploded peach among her affects. Apparently one of her friends had borrowed her back placed a peach in there and forgot to remove it. Every seemed untouched by the peach except for Emily's laptop bag. The peach had managed to squeezes it's self through the water preventative fabric and right to the laptop. Lucky the laptop still turned on so that was good.

Pre-Valentines day, Friday the 13th

Last Friday was a the day before Valentines day and Emily was over! I had classes pretty early so I woke up and left and let Emily sleep. I wouldn't be having access to a computer for the whole weekend so I wanted to wish my friends happy Valentines day. So after digging around I found a picture suitable for each of them. They are both inside jokes but you should of saw the look on their faces when they opened their gifts.

This one was for Andy. I had drawn it for him quickly after he was beating me in a card game. He hated it, so I made it into a Valentine's day card for him. ha ha. The monkey thing is actual suppose to be a very hot pink (a colour picked by Emily) but the scanner sucks. Emily also drew the hearts all around it!

This one was given to Mikki. I don't even know how this one got so bad. Me and Emily were looking up jokes and that screaming joke was the funniest one we found. Explanation of inside joke; We have to draw a mural for police and they have stupid miss-shapen mascots. Mikki hated them most of all so out of an attempt to horrify her me and the other boys in our group drew this for her. Good times were had by all. The funniest thing about this was Emily watching me draw Bobby. She shuddered and I couldn't help but laugh. Mikki laughed a lot at this one, she thought it was really funny, so I guess it's not so bad then.

Other then that the morning class on Friday was fine. I cut out an hour early to go wake up Emily and leave for Montreal! We packed up and headed out! It was Emily's first time on the Subway, it was also the scariest sounding subway ride I had been on, so that was fun!

Shortly we were on the train and on our way to Montreal. But not before we grabbed lunch at McDonald's! There was a french speaking black women who sat across from us (because for some reason we had two by two seats that faced each other. For most of the trip me and Emily ignored her... mainly because I can't reeeally speak french and the lady slept a lot.

We watched Chicago on Emily's laptop, that brought back good memories of watching that movie with my family. I wanted to sing it the whole way there but I made myself not due to the sleeping passengers. However we were horrified to find out that we could no longed eject the disk from the laptop. The disk tray worked much like a Wii's disk tray, where as in you slide the disk in and it slides out with out any tray. We could only surmise that it was that darned peach back to haunt us! Not only that but our five hour three was delayed by two hours making us wait a total of seven hours on the train with no entertainment and being forced to be quite due to sleeping people.

It was an exercise in patience! But if I was going to be stuck anywhere with anybody I'm glad it was with Emily. It wasn't so bad either, I found my PSP and played final fantasy 2. Emily watched me and I was quite happy about that! And that's an understatement!

We finally arrive and it seems that the lady across from us has begun to talk to Emily. I'm a bit ashamed that I have no idea what they're saying since my mom is french. I kept kicking myself all weekend, thinking 'I should know how to speak french! I should know this! Arrgh!' Anyways it turns out that the old lady had packed quite a bit of luggage and needed help carrying it. ME and Emily agreed to help. I already had a bag so I grabbed one and Emily had a bag too so we each had one of the lady's bag. Emily told me that the lady kept saying that 'we were both so kind'. That made me smile. The lady found her husband and we found our taxi.

A whirlwind later and we were able to find our hotel and our room! It still felt like I was on the train when we finally dropped out luggage. There were two single sized beds and a pull out couch. Emily's friend's (Nick and Nicole whom we would be spending the week with) pushed the two small bed together to make a big one giving us the pull out couch... hurray. The beds were in a sperate room then the couch so it was almost as if we had our own room. Which was kinda nice.

Emily knew these two so she began talking right away, my shyness kicked in and I awkwardly looked around the hotel room as they talked and watched me. It's not like I didn't want to meet them or they didn't try to talk to me... I just couldn't think of anything to say... SO I guess I hadn't cured myself of shyness like I thought I had.

Another heartbeat later and we were out the door and down the street, to some residence for... Queen's university was it? It was a swanky hotel that had been transformed into a residence. There were a lot of drunken kids wondering around. It made me kind of upset to see such people in such a nice place. Nick and Nicole talked to some friends of theirs and we took our third taxi (I don't like taking taxi's) to a club which I seemed to be nicely dressed up for... wait when did that happen? I missed that part. We where the first in line for a club called Opera (like the singing kind not the talk show kind)

At the same time about a million other people lined up behind us. Not only did the line up but they pushed forward! We were almost falling over! GOod thing we were at the front on the line and were able to get in before we fell over. This club was... well what you would expect a club to look like on the night before Valentine's day; PACKED! There were about two hundred people on the dance floor and about another two hundred milling about. In spirit of the drunken atmosphere the four of us wound up ordering three rounds of tequila shots. Speaking of which have you ever had a tequila shot?

It has got to be the worst thing in the world to taste! Seriously! They took sour and cough and made them rotten in the basement for about three years and then made them into a liquor! Disgusting is an understatement. But anyways to take one you have to pour salt on your hand. Lick it off take the shot then suck on a lemon/lime. By the time you swallow the shot you shove that citrus piece in your face so fast you'd think you'd break your teeth!! It was a shame for me because my pieces always had seeds in them so I'd have to spit them out before I was able to suck on the lemon. It was like fooling my gag reflex.

Those things where suppose to get me drunk fast but I never felt a thing. After that we when and danced in the dance floor which was kind fun. Everybody was tightly packed and we all would have turned into domino if one person fell over. It was like experiencing a river of people... with deafening music and seizure lights.

So everything was going peachy (ha ha peach) until we decided to leave. At about two thirty in the morning we were getting tired and wanted to leave. However that was the same time everybody else wanted to leave. and Since there was a manitory coat check a whole mass of people crowded around the door. The bouncers kept everybody in the club area while not letting anybody else leave except a couple people at a time. As more and more people got ready to leave and joined the back of the line the crowd of more and more packed. People in Montreal sure are pushy! I was missing my nice neat and orderly grade one line up! We were following Nick and Nicole through the crowd, but the mass of people soon became very dense. I created a bubble with my arms around Emily since tall people seemed content with mushing her. I lowered my stance too to kept from falling over with the swaying of the crowd. However in that position I was unable to push my way through the crowd. Reaching a stand still bad thoughts soon entered my head as I over heard the word trample. With this many people it would be easy to see how that could happen and no body would be able to help anybody out. I thought of Emily and became a little frightened. My fear peaked as the dense crowd finally bursted through the bounces people started flooding out. The angry bouncers were not going to have any of that so they shoved back. Lost in the mass of people the way traveled back, even my lowered stance couldn't hold this up I was successfully shoved backwards someone stepped on Emily's foot and she fell over. I imminently rushed to help her to her feet. It looks like she lost a shoe and the crowd was getting increasingly restless.

Fearing for her safety and my own I pulled us back through the crowd and out of it. We would wait until the stupid thing died down before attempting to escape. Nick and Nicole could wait. I noticed just then that the music had stopped. Apparently the party was over and everybody was just waiting to pass through coat check.

As frustrating as the experience was we sat down on the ground... well I sat down on the ground and Emily sat on my lap... and we made like of the situation taking time to talk amongst ourselves. We did get a comment from another party guest, she told us how cute her and her group thought we were, that made my night. Around three forty five in the morning we braved the line up once more, only this time we kept to the wall and made it out safely. I piggy backed Emily all the way out side.

After two cab rides later (because a certain cab driver couldn't find our hotel) and the hell blown out of my twenty, we finally returned to the hotel room safe and sound, me with Cinderella in tow.

Stop! Adventure

So today I took a break from being lazy and took up Mary's offer to go to No Frills. To get there was quite... fun. Instead of walking down the road we went teh complete other direction and traveled through the forest.

It was interesting because the snow was so packed down from other people taking the route that most of the snow around it had melted but there was path of ice/packed snow. We obviously took the path containing the ice and packed snow instead of the grass.

There was a pile of junk which we were debating on taking with us to use as sleds down the hill. Mary was going to take the T.V. was an added challenge. One of her friends was going to take and exercise bike, I was particular to the pink flat doll house. We actually could of used them too. We ran down the hill Mary was running down the hill and shouting about how she couldn't stop. i stuck my arm out to stop her and almost clothes-lined her. Dumb move on my part but she was okay.

Down there was also the perfect bridge and river that would be perfect for playing pooh sticks. Although my travel mates thought I was talking about a different kind of poo when I was trying to describe it to them.

I wound up walking from the school back home them to the no frills close to my apartment and back, then back to the school again.

Anyways Emily showed me this video that I thought I would share with you all.

So I went and wound some more stop motion videos that I liked.

That's all!

I'm over at Guelph with Emily right now so I can't upload a closing picture. *tear tear* Oh well it's a small sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Music Break!

Today wasn't a particularly busy day, but I am staying up waaay late tonight. I'm not even sure If I'll be able to hit the hay tonight.

Two days ago I had the weirdest sleep pattern. I conked out at about 6:00 pm and woke up at 4:00 and I still had homework to do! So I booted my butt over to the school and did it there! I wound up staying up until 2:00 that night. Yesterday I woke up late and had to make it to my illustration way later then I intended to. We build dioramas and presented them. I like to think that mine was wonderfully done.

After class my friend Mike asked me if I wanted to go to the Eaten Center (Heathen Center?) and pick up some art supplies from the surrounding area. I agreed and after I stopped back here at home for lunch, and Mike went to his class, we met and took a bus to there.

Trying to get on the bus was fun, with york back in full swing. There was a line up of about fifteen people the whole time (even as people were cycling onto the bus the line up was still bloody long!) and was getting longer!

I'm throwing my debt card out the window! I spent another 80$ I didn't have! AHH! Why am I so bad at handling money?

I was rather funny. We got something to eat and there was some guy with a book right in front of his face. Only he kept peering over it at people like he was two years old or something. He was VERY creepy! I hide from him!

And have you ever had a Harvey burger? They are much more delicious then I would have even given them credit for.

I am currently doing a dramatic angle drawing and my MP3 player died. I looked for more AAA batteries but I couldn't find any so I'm reduced to using the other back water MP3 player I have. However I need to put music on it and it is syncing as I right this blog... it looks like it's almost done so that's my cue to go!

Too~dells bloggers!

Trying...

To venture home today I had to rely on four methods of getting safely to my house. They are as follows: Train, Subway, Bus, and Elevator.
Two out of the four methods of travel failed me completely.

The train right up was relaxing. Well sorta... I always seem to get antsy when I leave my bag at the front of the train cart unattended because anybody could take it. that kinda startles me. So I'm constantly worry about it.

I was able to sit in the area arranged for four people and put my feet up most of the ride, which was nice. I dozed off once or twice. I killed my battery on my MP3 player, so I had no music for the whole ride.

Next way the subway, which was going peachy until they randomly kicked all of there passengers off of the the train for noooooo reason at all! It unloaded three kart fulls of people out before they fixed the 'problem'. So my relaxing subway ride became very congested. That was irritating!

The bus was fine. I was even able to get a good seat! I was able to catch the to york express, which makes the journey to my house much quicker. But then I had to drag my suit case down Toronto's fame unplowed sidewalks. grr

I finally made it to my lobby just in time for millions and millions of little black children to get off the subway and flood the lobby! For some reason only two elevators were moving and at the same time you could watch them travel all the way up to the 20th floor and back down the B2 before it would rise to ground level. I had my giant duffel bag and my huge suitcase so squeezing my way onto the elevator would be tough, not to mention a little rude. So I quietly waited my turn. Oh and let me say this, the little black children in my apartment building are the most obnoxious rude little hellions I've ever met. Not to mention nobody in the lobby was kind enough to see the I clearly could NOT take the stairs, and let me on the elevator instead! People in Toronto are rude rude rude RUDE! I was slow so when an elevator would come in front of me they'd butt ahead of me and kinda not let me on, less I plowed into them forcing my way on to the elevator!

So very frustrating!!

After limitless waves of rude little black children, and countless elevators missed I then decided to lug my luggage up six flights of stairs.

...

I curse every child living in my building.
